Food Studio / Bøgedal
From 31 May to 2 June, we invited people to be among the first to experience our new camp site in the lake Tokke in Drangedal Telemark.
Many dinners have been paired with great beer and engaging conversations since two women in charge, Gitte Holmboe and Cecilie Dawes, met over the love for Norwegian mountains before the very first Food Studio event back in 2011. Around tables in Norway, Denmark and Japan - in woods and by lakes - it has all become sceneries to support inspiration, the birth of ideas and the co-operation to realize them. This summer, the table was set in the garden of Bøgedal in Vejle, Denmark.
Tavaha [ta-va,-ha-] means to take care of the ocean. The word is used to describe a culture where we are aware of and take care of the life surrounding us in the ocean when we use it. The ocean has always taken care of us, and we cannot live without it. It connects us. It connects the world.
In between green fields and the windy country roads of Vejle, lies Bøgedal Brewery. Gitte and Casper's love for the farm, barley, and animals, have resulted in a deep-rooted alchemy between the place, its people and its natural elements.
During Grüne Woche, The International Green Week, we moved our office to a nice, airy apartment in Berlin and to various cozy cafés in the grey city with a green vibe.
2nd of February we gather a group of collaborators, friends and new acquaintances in Kødbyen, Copenhagen, for a night of exploring, conversation and dining. Gitte Holmboe of Bøgedal Bryghus and chef Thomas Randsøe, along with Anne Lunell and Charles Nystrand from Koppi, made sure we ate and drank well. The guest of honor this night was Stéphane Meyer and Lise Kvan, from the Jura region of France and Paris respectively.
