Food Studio / Tim Wendelboe
This October we were invited to create an experience for the speakers and partners for the conference WWNA / Why the World Needs Antropologists in Oslo with the theme: Sustaining Cities. The aim was to bring together hands and minds that build our cities with a view to inspire and incite action, foster fruitful collaborations and exchange ideas and practices towards participating actively in the cities we live, build and work in.
In December 2014, we appeared in the Christmas issue of Bon Appétit, one of North Americas best known and respected food and lifestyle magazines, together with Halvor Digernes from Fuglen Oslo who served an aquavit toddy, Anders Braathen from Smalhans who prepared the menu and Tim Wendelboe's crew who served coffee in style.
Academic conferences and seminars might be associated with uninspiring talks, bad food and poor logistics, so when The National Academy of the Arts (Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo - KHiO) wanted to make a proper event for design dialogue they knew they needed to change the format completely.
The instructions in the email were intriguingly vague. "Take the subway at 18:06 from Oslo Central Station all the way to Voksenkollen" – some twenty stops and 500 vertical metres away, and roughly where the compact urban-ness of Oslo gives way to the vast expanse of wooded hills that is Oslomarka.
On Wednesday October 24th, Oslo hosted its second TEDx event. Food Studio, with the help of some friends, were there to provide good refreshments to the almost 400 attendees during the breaks.
Let me bring you songs from the wood To make you feel much better than you could know Dust you down from tip to toe Show you how the garden grows Hold you steady as you go
On the 20.07.12 Maaemo, Tim Wendelboe and Food Studio arranged a tribute to the forest and the joys it has to offer.
