ØKOUKA—Losæter Feast

We believe that we all need to be ambassadors of food empathy if we are going to change the food system and the challenges we are facing today. By Food Empathy we mean the essential understanding of what food is, where it comes from and the journey it has undertaken, the resources spent from sun, soil and grass, how it enriches not just our souls, but how our bodies are made and nourished and how it finally returns to nature when we throw it away or digest it. In short, an understanding of the great wheel of sustenance and how it comes full circle.

The gathering of the Losæter feasts is for us the best way we have experienced this, maybe even in the world. It manage to connect people back to the food they eat, the nature that surrounds them, to each other and in the end to them selves. The energy put into the project of Losæter by the artist collective Future Farmers, all the gras root movement initiatives in Oslo that helped them create the place and the people who come to co-create and enjoy have made this magical place that used to be gray concrete only 5 years ago. We are so grateful to still be a part of this.
