Bygdefest
— på Bygdøy

On a sunny autumn day we take the bus to Frognerkilen and walk up to Bygdø Kongsgård, up the gravel road, to find ourselves surrounded by fields and forests just a few stops away from the city. All around us are the intense colours of autumn, and the sun is casting a warm, yellow hue. It is the last day of ØKOUKA, and for the third time we celebrate the week with a feast at Bygdø Kongsgård.

Thanks to all of the wonderful people and producers that made Bygdefesten happen! Bondelag chef of the year Karla Siverts and her team Kristin, Julie, Jan Robin and Masayo. Bartenders Frederik and Jørgen from Non Dos, and coffee brewers Ben and Astri from Tim Wendelboe. The menu of the evening was built upon Norwegian ecological and local produce, with vegetables that the ØKOUKA team had planted in the spring especially for Bygdefesten at Gartneriet. The rest of the vegetables came from Gartnerhallen and Korsvold Farm. A lot of local meat producers contributed to this year’s feast as well! Thanks to Kongsgården, Indre Oslo Matforedling and ASK FarmHolli Mølle stood for the grains and Thors Brød and Handwerk made the delicous bread. Olavsbråten Farm delivered fresh cheese, as well as Tjamsland Ysteri and Hitra gardsost. Honey tablets from Bybi and Vulkan HonningØkosjokolade delivered the ingredients for the fantastic soil dessert together with Fars Solbær.
