Get Away — Trøndelag 6.juni

Pris uten overnatting: 1000 kr

//// Information in English below///

Treat yourself to an extraordinary experience! Disconnect from your daily routines and connect to natures rhythm. 6. June 2020 Food Studio invites you to a “Get Away” at Inderøy in the Trøndelag region in Norway. Our location this time around is “Venåsen”, a place in the midst of the woods surrounded by fields, where there used to be a small farm.

Ane and Geir Arne now live at Venåsen. They are well underway in establishing a place where you can come and learn about self-sufficiency, food traditions, nature, outdoor living, kitchen gardening, repairing and re-use. With a bountiful plate of wild and cultivated food around us, we will spend this day harvesting, preparing and enjoying a meal together. We will use all of our senses – listen, smell, feel and taste. You will get the chance to meet other people with an interest in food and a lifestyle close to nature, and return home with a lower pulse, new knowledge and full of inspiration. You can choose to stay overnight in your own tent or hammock, or rent one of the glamping-tents at Venåsen.

Anes expertise is in foraging from the wild, from the woods, the field and ocean. Geir Arne is a handyman who fixes and makes about anything you can think of. Inge Johnsen, with a team from Lian Restaurant in Trondheim, will elegantly show us how can use local and wild food creatively in our cooking. Meditation teacher Hege Kristin Stokka will quide us in to the woods with the Japanese method Shinrin-yoku, translated to “forest bathing”, helping us shift our attention both inwards and to our surroundings.

Transport and Practical Information:

The schedule will start at Venåsen 6.June at 11.30 am and continue until 7 pm. This fits with the train schedule from Trondheim and back. To get to Venåsen we recommend you to start the day by train from Trondheim to Røra station. One of us from the crew will meet you at Trondheim Central Station and take the train with you, then we will find our way to Venåsen together. We will also accommodate for car-sharing if that suits you better. Upon your arrival we will start off with a drink and a snack. Snacks, warm and cold drinks (non-alcoholic) will be served throughout the day. There is no need to bring own food, but do make sure to tell us about food allergies or preferences so we can adjust to your needs.

Although the program is finished at 7 pm, you can also stay on and overnight in a glamping-tent, or set up your own tent or hammock at Venåsen. If you choose to stay on, we will serve a simple breakfast before we break up in the morning. A week in advance of the event, we will send you a packing-list, so you know what to bring in your backpack. We will also send a recommended wine list. From now on, until June, we will also share recommendations as to how you can explore the Inderøy-region close by, in the days before or after.
