Because the longing to belong to a tribe is real. I have been mulling over this question of language for a long time, because it is not a simple decision after 15 years, when you want to communicate in a way that feels close, honest and authentic, while also taking care of the relationships you have built outside your immediate circle at home. Most of all I think what I feel is the fear of rejection from the tribe, and that is a very real fear.
It is said that we are in a time of transition. That everything is about to break down, come to the surface and that we are forced to think different together as a society. In this, we need to take care of ourselves, regulate our own nervous system and take care of the closest resources we have. It's a bit like, to put on your own gas mask first, before you can help others. The community brunches were created as a meeting place to meet across disciplines and backgrounds, to share a meal and conversations around the table. We think community is the medicine we need the most right now.
