Forgotten Skills of Cooking
— Fermented Beverages

On the second course in the series "Forgotten Skills of Cooking", we had the pleasure to get to know a small corner of the world of fermented beverages. No – not bear and wine this time, but all the other cultures that live around the world, just waiting to jump into your glass.

Through history, fermented drinks has been an important part of human culture. And perhaps they have to a big extend been made for pleasure, but they have also been made for health benefits. Lacto-fermented beverages holds a lot of bacterias that are good for your gut flora. Drinking them makes your body and tastebuds happy.

We would like to thank Lille Tøyen Kolonial for providing vegetables for the course, and thanks to Kim and Therese for the amazing “jun” drink.
