Get Away Winter - Sowing Community
We are celebrating the Nordic Winter! The 6 of February is the Sami national day and this is the quiet part of the year both for nature and the Sami people. We want to gather around the fire to celebrate this, continue our ongoing conversation about the new forms of community by making a camp site together and taking you into the planning process of Hegli Sjølbergingsbruk (self-sufficiency farm).
For those who want the full Food Studio expedition feeling, we have a nature guide who will take those of you who wants to come by ski after work on Friday to the north woods of Oslo, staying one night at the DNT cabin Råbjørn hytta.
Our special guests for this event is;
Line Efra – Sami Wisdom / Building the fireplace together. Storytelling around “Chaga kok”
Christian Høie – The process of planning a garden
Emmanuel Rang – Sourdough bread in woodfired oven
Andrew McMillan – Permaculture and Community
Morten Lønmo – Cheesemaking
Mads Pålsrud – Community in citydevelopment perspective
Cecilie Dawes – Selfsustainability in practice
We believe that learning comes easy with first hand experience. Therefore we ask you to pack your backpacks just as you would do when going into nature by yourself. Gather the tools we will use during the workshop and bring cutlery and plates for having dinner. Each Get Away is different, so we make a small guide on what to pack that you receive one week before we head out together!
