For us this is a process to both honor the tradition and the wisdom of the old mindset and handcraft, but at the same time find ways that fits the society we live in today, our tools of innovation and our way of living.

The third course out is painting with natural colour. The course will be led by Thomas Sandvik Jakobsen.

What you will learn
Introduction to painting techniques with linseed oil and composition paint outdoors. The course will run over two days where you work with two walls. The participants are offered to stay an extra week with board and lodging with the help of painting the rest of the house.

About Thomas Sandvik Jakobsen
40 years old, professional certificate as a carpenter since 2004 and mostly worked with old houses since then. Took vocational school education in building protection in 2018 and only works with conservation-worthy and listed buildings. Comes from Porsgrunn and moved to Kviteseid in 2015. In my spare time I am a family man, hobby farmer and restore old houses, as well as leader of the Fortidsminneforeningen local team Vest-Telemark and board member of the Fortidsminneforeningen Telemark branch.
