The art of — Gathering

This year has been all about finding new ways to share our knowledge. One of the projects we have been working on is the e-bok Gathering together with Nordic Roots. Nordic Roots is a deeper, slower «time pocket» for the sharing knowledge, wisdom, and creativity from people who easily see the many opportunities to live a life more aligned with themselves and nature, both in their business and in their private life.

Since the beginning our focus has been on collaborations with small ecological farms and entrepreneurs with the same longing for a deeper connection to nature.

A ton of that knowledge is now collected in this E-book called «Gathering – How to Come Together and Leave no Trace” written by journalist Line Tiller and designed by Eva The Moor. Svein Kjøde, Alexander Benjaminsen, Sebastian Dahl and Marte Garmann has shot the pictures and illustrations are all by Eva De Moor. «Gathering» E-book is published by Nordic Roots and is available here: www.nordicroots.life

In «Gathering», you’ll join us at three different events: Come smell the salty, fresh water at a peninsula in the Oslo Fjord where guests foraged their own costal food. Slow down with us while «bathing» in the forest at a nature retreat near a cottage by the lake. And take part in a big scale city event centred around «leftover food» at the Oslo Town Hall.

This how-to-guide go through all the aspects of a gathering. You will learn everything from how to forage food in an ethical manner, to create amazing seasonal meals, and build both a «tent» and a «toilet» with nature, in nature. We will sparkle ideas around how to make invitations, how to set a beautiful scenery anywhere and you will learn from a decade of experience on what could be done differently…next time. When you do it yourself! We are also sharing Food Studios very own project-planning tool, templates for you to fill in your own projects in the most effective way.
